As a result of the measures taken to contain the Coronavirus, restaurants and bars are obliged to keep their doors closed. While there are safety nets in play to keep them in business during these trying times, a lot of owners are afraid of the financial consequences.
As an ambassador of Italian tradition, Galbani has been a household name for culinary establishments in Belgium. The brand decided to support the sector and joined the #horecacomeback initiative. Via that platform, customers can purchase vouchers which can be used in restaurants and bars after the quarantine. The money is sent to the owners immediately, offering them a chance to stay in business. Together with Serviceplan, Galbani spread awareness of the initiative via social media and a full page in 13 newspapers as an act of solidarity for the sector they are so closely intertwined with.
