On the 25th of September 2019, the 15th edition of the Innovation Day took place at the House of Communication in Munich.
More than 400 guests were given the opportunity to expand their know-how with talks by international top speakers from the worlds of business, media and politics.
For the first time, guests had the opportunity to meet one of the day’s top speakers in person at the "Speaker Meet-ups". In an exclusive conversation or workshop, up to 20 participants were able to develop their know-how and generate valuable input for their own companies.
At the "Trend Tables", up to 30 participants received valuable insights from the marketing and communications industry. On the traditional "One Stage", guests experienced keynotes on various mega trends not only on the communications and advertising industries, but also on society. This year’s overarching theme was“Transformation”.
Among other key speakers, Dr Viviane Reding, former Vice-President of theEuropean Commission, spoke about the subject “Transforming Europe” and how, asa counter-pole to China and the USA, Europe has the innovative strength and the right values to play a decisive role in shaping the digital future.
Under the title “Transforming Organisational Culture”, Dr Frederik G. Pferdt, Google’sChief Innovation Evangelist and Adjunct Professor at Stanford University, explained how successful innovation cultures develop and function in companies. Ralf Reichert, CEO and co-founder of ESL, the world’s largest e-sports company, provided insights into the booming e-sport business, as well as showing the potential that exists for brands. Under the title “Transforming Business”, successful leaders– including Alexander Sixt, Member of the Executive Board of SIXT – presented their best cases showing how the transformation of a company can succeed.
Finally, under the motto “Experience the Future”, the "Innovation Lounge" provided even more inspiration. Guests were invited to tryout innovative technologies and their potential uses for themselves.
