For the very first time, Best Brands introduces the ‘Best Energy and Fuel’ award.
With more competitors in the mix as these two previously separate awards merged into one category, ENGIE was chosen as Best Energy and Fuel Brand of 2022. To no surprise, as the energy giant already claimed victory in their respective category last year. DATS24 and Q8 complete the top 3. Here are a few facts about the public’s favorite. Household value Engie (formerly known as Electrabel) is the oldest energy supplier on the Belgian energy market and thus a household value. They were the only supplier until the liberalization of the energy market about 17 years ago. Yet, even with a lot of other players having entered the competition, they have been able to retain their position as market leader. They invested greatly in connecting with their community in terms of transparency, user experience and customer service. Engie receives 5/5 stars from the VREG for its services. The VREG is the Flemish regulator for electricity and gas and keeps track of all second-line complaints from all energy suppliers in Belgium. Research shows that a large number of customers indicate that Engie’s customer service works smoothly, but is also friendly and highly competent. They experience Engie’s services at a good price/quality ratio. In many cases, switching to Engie is very fast and without any errors. All of these play a role in their high results for “share of soul” in our Best Brands survey.
Carbon neutral future
Engie is the driving force behind the energy transition in Belgium. They believe a carbon neutral future is within reach. They are continuously working on making that difference. Under the #ActWithEngie campaign, they have launched numerous initiatives to educate and work together with the Belgian population. They believe in joining forces to consume better, consume less while positively impacting the health and well-being of citizens. They are active in several sectors, from industry to smart cities, from homes to sustainable energy.
Innovation and partnerships Engie sees innovation as key to realize its ambition to become a leader in the zero carbon energy transition “as a service”. That is why they’re – in collaboration with its partners – working on developing new technologies and services to meet tomorrow’s challenges in energy, mobility and smart cities. They can also count on 280 experts and highly qualified researchers to meet the challenges of the low-carbon transition.
They think about solutions that make it possible to produce and consume energy in the most efficient way and with respect for the environment. Congratulations on your win, ENGIE!
